The artist
Devin’s world, in his own visual language
Devin Wildes is a Minnesota artist whose work is rooted in an extraordinary attention to place. A skyline glimpsed from a window, a mountain remembered from a journey, an animal or historic building can become the starting point for a deeply personal composition.
Devin lives with profound autism and significant support needs. Throughout his life, art has offered something essential: a way to share what captures his attention, what stays in his memory and what he finds beautiful. His drawings and paintings are direct, confident and unmistakably his own.
“As Devin’s mother, I have watched people underestimate him—and then stop in front of his work. Art creates an introduction that begins with his talent, his point of view and the joy he brings to the page.”

At Interact, Devin works within a community that treats artists with disabilities as professional artists. His growing body of work includes exhibitions, commissioned pieces and scenes inspired by travels across the United States and Europe.
